David Meredith

David Meredith’s career came from humble beginnings, working as an apprentice model-maker in the jewellery and giftware industry in his home of Leicester, but before long it became clear that his talents were destined for greater things. Within two years of starting out, he had taken up the position of head sculptor at Alchemy Carta and shortly after that, felt the time was right to branch out on his own and tap into his passion for his preferred media: bronze.

Now, Meredith has been sculpting professionally for 20 years, drawing inspiration from nature, the other love in his life which has taken him on worldwide travels spanning Africa, Asia and North America, all of which he claims have helped to shape his work in both realistic and abstract ways.

Something that really comes across in the beautiful attention to detail in David’s work is his boundless love for his art. He shares that he considers himself to be very lucky, doing what he does and that he experiences great joy and relaxation during the creation process, like nothing else exists in that moment.

‘I’m thankful that my work has found homes all over the world. It is very gratifying to know my collectors get the same pleasure from owning my work as I have from creating it.’ David Meredith
